New workshops dates for early 2012

Research: 'Wellbeing in Nature'
During the summer of 2011 Dr. Sophie Jeffery (then a doctoral student on placement with me at the local mental health trust) and I interviewed a small sample of participants from the Wednesday 'Wellbeing in Nature' sessions.
We have analysed the results and are intending to have a paper published soon. Hopefully I will have the results posted on this website before too long.
Ecotherapy Continues in Dagenham
In June 2011 ecotherapy was cut as a service delivered by North East London Foundation Trust, but as of the 28th September I began leading the sessions on a voluntary basis, while to continuing to look for funding.
The 'Wellbeing in Nature' sessions are held on a Wednesday between 1pm - 3pm in Eastbrookend Country Park, Dagenham. If you are a local service user you are very welcome to join us in the park.

Ecotherapy Awareness
On September 16th I ran 'Ecotherapy Awareness' as a CPD (Continuing Professional Development) workshop for mental health professionals in Thorndon Park, near Brentwood.
Fifteen people attended the one day event, including: psychologists; counsellors; clinical psychology students; and care workers. Anonymous feedback was universally positive.
The intention was to offer participants personal experience of the benefits of ecotherapy and advice on how to integrate ecotherapy into their practice.
Look out for announcements on the dates for workshops in 2012 or you can contact me to go on a mailing list.
